Provide high data transfer speed

Less power consumption.

Simple to Install

Disadvantage: -

Difficult to troubleshoot

Disadvantage of infrared waves affected by distance, noise and heat.

iii. Radio Waves:- Radio waves are electromagnetic signals that are transmitted by an antenna. They travel in all the directions from the source or omni- directional waves. It can travel long distances.

Disadvantage of radio waves signals get easily affected by rains, thunder storms etc.

iv. Satellite communication:- it is widely used all over the world, allowing users to transmit a signal to any part of the earth’s surface.
