1. What is Cyberbullying?

Ans. Cyberbullying is when a child is tortured, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed or otherwise targeted by another child using the internet, interactive and digital technologies.

2. Why children cyberbully?

Ans. Children cyberbully:-

i. It is often because of anger, revenge or frustration.

ii. Many children bully other children just for fun, entertainment.

3. What Common signs of cyberbullying shown by children?

Ans. Some common signs of cyberbullying shown by children who are bullied are:-

i. Withdrawal from family members, friends and activities.

ii. Display of anger at home.

iii. Wanting to stay lonely and unhappy.

iv. Avoiding all Social, school or group gatherings.

v. Sudden changes in mood, behavior, sleep or appetite.

4. How to prevent cyberbulling?

Ans. Cyberbulling can be prevented by:-

i. Educating about the consequences.

ii. Teaching them to respect others privacy.

iii. Blocking the bully as most devices.

iv. Sharing online friends with parents and allowing parents “to follow” on social sites.

v. Ensuring emails, messages etc. are sent to the right place, i.e. to the right email address.

5. What is Cyber Crime?

Ans. Crime which involves computer/Network/Internet or any other electronic media is called a cyber crime.

Copyright information

Harassment

6. What is Cyber-Law?

Ans. Cyber crimes can involve criminal activites,such as theft, fraud, forgery, defamation and mischief, all of which are addressed by the information technology Act, 2000.
